B2Q Associates seeks Mechanical, Electrical, and Energy Engineering Designers to bolster our thriving engineering consulting practice. Role Overview
As a Mechanical/Electrical/Energy Designer, you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

Energy Efficiency: Dive into understanding building operations, modeling their performance, creating technical studies, thoughtful economic analyses, and uncovering hidden opportunities. Your mission? Decarbonize and optimize energy use in existing and new university, healthcare, and industrial buildings. Your recommendations will drive tangible improvements in efficiency and operations while reducing the carbon footprint of these facilities.

Creating Innovative Solutions: From energy modeling to system design, you’ll be at the forefront of sustainable technology and building energy science. Imagine designing decarbonized building mechanical systems, integrating advanced controls, designing renewable energy systems and energy storage, and championing energy saving strategies and equipment.

Field Investigations and Commissioning: You’ll get the opportunity to get out onto sites, learn about buildings, equipment, and controls to make sure they are operating properly.  This is where you get to see your hard work come to life. 

Qualifications

  • Passion for Sustainability: Your commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable design practices drives your work.
  • Educational Foundation: A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering is essential.
  • Effective Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are crucial.
  • Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Excel, Word.  Experience with Revit or AutoCAD is a bonus
  • HVAC Expertise: Knowledge of energy efficiency, renewable energy, power systems, and HVAC is advantageous.
  • Professional Development: A long term goal to become registered as a Professional Engineer is favored.
