Temporary Research Assistant

The Pienaar lab in the Biology Department is looking for a research assistant to help collect and identify tardigrades from the US southeast. The successful applicant will:

-collect mosses and lichens in the field (various state parks in Florida)
-extract tardigrades from them, 
-prepare microscope slides and
- perform DNA barcoding analysis. 

Prior experience with microscopy and performing PCR reactions is required.
