JOB TITLE: SPES Coordinator – Accountability and Integration Support (1214)
This position is granted funded and is contingent upon continued funding.
WORK YEAR: Full time: 7.5 hours per day/Monday-Friday, 12 months/220 days annually (Prorated upon hire)
START DATE: As soon as possible after interview
SALARY: Salary Schedule 17, Range 15, $28.71- $36.65 per hour. Placement is dependent on experience. Annual stipend pay: Master's $750 or Doctorate $1,250 (Prorated upon hire)
BENEFITS: Generous benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision for employee and dependents. Vacation and sick leave accrued. Up to 16 paid holidays annually. Employer-paid life insurance. This position qualifies for CalPERS retirement. The employee contribution rate for CalPERS is either 7% or 8% of monthly earnings depending on the membership date. This position also contributes to Social Security. The contribution rate for Social Security is 6.2% of monthly earnings.

DEFINITION:
Under the supervision of the Senior Director of Alternative Education, the SPES Coordinator – Accountability and Integration Support assists in coordinating and integrating strategic planning, monitoring, and accountability efforts for SPES (Student Programs and Educational Services) initiatives. This position involves high-level administrative and organizational support to ensure alignment and progress toward program goals while maintaining streamlined communication and reporting processes.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES [May include, but is not limited to the following]:
1. Coordination & Integration: Support the integration of SPES initiatives into existing workflows, ensuring alignment with program objectives and the California Community Schools Framework
2. Budget Support: Assist in tracking and monitoring budgets for SPES initiatives, preparing budget summaries, and providing timely updates to the Sr. Director to ensure alignment with fiscal policies and program goals
3. Data Management & Visualization: Collect, analyze, and visualize program data using tools like spreadsheets, dashboards, and graphic software to support decision-making and communicate progress effectively
4. Accountability Reporting: Develop and maintain systems for tracking and reporting key performance indicators, including creating visual reports for Local Control Accountability Plans (LCAP) and other state and federal requirements
5. Administrative Support: Manage schedules, correspondence, and project-related documents for the Sr. Director, ensuring efficient and organized communication and documentation
6. Grant Monitoring: Support the preparation and management of grant applications, tracking expenditures, timelines, and deliverables to ensure compliance with grant requirements
7. Educational Partner Engagement: Act as a liaison between teams, schools, and districts, facilitating effective communication to align goals and ensure the successful implementation of SPES initiatives
8. Project Assistance: Assist in planning, tracking, and organizing projects related to continuous improvement, accountability, and program support
9. Documentation & Systems: Create and maintain systems for organizing workflows, information sharing, and reporting to increase efficiency and consistency
10. Professional Development: Stay informed about best practices in budget monitoring, data visualization, and accountability processes, and apply new knowledge to improve workflow and systems
QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
1. Principles of project and program coordination
2. Data management and reporting tools
3. Administrative best practices for education programs
4. Local, state, and federal education accountability requirements
5. Effective communication and collaboration strategies
Ability to:

Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
2. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant college-level coursework, preferred
3. Four years of broad, varied, and increasingly responsible office experience with demonstrated success
4. Data visualization training and experience, preferred
