IT Service Desk Intern

Job Title: IT Service Desk Intern

We're looking for an enthusiastic IT Service Desk Intern to join our growing team and gain hands-on experience in providing technical support and assistance to our employees.

Key Responsibilities:

As an IT Service Desk Intern, you will:

  • Assist in responding to and resolving technical support tickets for end-users.
  • Provide first-level technical support for hardware and software issues, including troubleshooting and resolution.
  • Set up and configure computer systems, software applications, and peripherals.
  • Perform routine maintenance, updates, and software installations.
  • Assist in onboarding new employees with their IT setup and training.
  • Maintain documentation for troubleshooting procedures and technical guides.
  • Monitor and report on system performance, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations.
  • Collaborate with senior IT team members to improve service delivery and resolve escalated issues.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Experience: 0-2 years of IT support experience (entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude encouraged to apply).

 

  • Strong interest in IT support and customer service.
  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
  • A positive, can-do attitude with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
  • Experience with help desk software or ticketing systems is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPN, DNS, etc.).
  • Certifications like CompTIA A+ , CCNA, Security+ are a bonus.

What is Required:

  • Must be available to commute to our Pinellas Park location
  • Monday-Friday available working hours 8:00-4:30 no weekends
  • Pay rate $20.00 per hour
