Description of Work:
Interviewing applicants and determining initial and ongoing Medicaid eligibility for individuals residing in adult care homes or requiring nursing home level of care according to state and federal regulations.
Recruitment Standards and Special Conditions:
Ability to use a computer and be proficient in Microsoft Office and web-based programs. Must have the ability to meet the public in a professional manner and possess excellent communication skills. Must be able to produce large volume of work accurately and timely. Applicant must be well organized, able to retain information, pay close attention to detail and make sound decisions. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
IMC III: Two years of experience as an IMC II or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
IMC II: One year of experience as an IMC I or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
IMC I: Graduation from an accredited associate degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum; OR Graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks – with at least one year of such experience being in an income maintenance program; OR Graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, the analysis of data and/or the performance of mathematical or legal tasks; OR An equivalent combination of training and experience.
