Income Maintenance Caseworker II – Family and Children's Medicaid  

Department: Social Services

Hiring Range: $40,641.00 - $47,753.00 ($19.54 - $22.96 per hour)

Closing Date: Open until Filled

 

Description of Work:  

Interview applicants/recipients and determine initial and ongoing eligibility for Family and Children's Medicaid Programs according to State and Federal regulations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements: 

Must possess oral and written communication skills, ability to make sound decisions, close attention to details, clear understanding of policies and procedures, organizational skills and mathematical skills. The applicant must also possess excellent computer skills.

 

Minimum Training and Experience Requirements

Income Maintenance Caseworker I: Graduation from an accredited Associate Degree program in Human Services Technology, Social Services Associate, Paralegal Technology, Business Administration, Secretarial Science, or a closely related curriculum; OR Graduation from high school and two years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, analysis of data and/or performance of mathematical or legal tasks-with at least one year of such experience being in an income maintenance program; OR Graduation from high school and three years of paraprofessional, clerical, or other public contact experience which included negotiating, interviewing, explaining information, gathering and compiling of data, the analysis of data, and/or the performance of mathematical or legal tasks; OR an equivalent combination of training and experience. 

 

Income Maintenance Caseworker II: One year of experience as an IMC I or an equivalent combination of education/training an experience.
