Are you naturally curious? Do you enjoy uncovering patterns, investigating suspicious activity, and fighting internet fraud? If so, we want you on our team! We’re looking for curious, analytical thinkers to join our Strategic Risk Services team for Summer 2025! As a Fraud Analyst Intern, you’ll work alongside our fraud prevention team to detect, analyze, and combat online fraud. This internship offers hands-on experience in fraud prevention while enhancing your professional development. The program aims to deliver exceptional digital experiences by researching and making decisions on high-risk e-commerce transactions for clients from various industries.
What You’ll Do:
- Analyze and identify fraudulent transactions to protect businesses from digital threats.
- Work with cutting-edge fraud detection software and real-time monitoring tools.
- Conduct deep-dive investigations and research fraud trends across various industries.
- Collaborate with fraud prevention specialists to optimize risk management strategies.
- Communicate emerging fraud patterns and insights to stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For:
- Full-time undergraduate student with at least two years of college completed by May 2025.
- Strong analytical skills and confidence in making independent decisions quickly.
- Previous work experience or ability to thrive in a fast-paced, problem-solving environment.
- Strong internet research skills and ability to navigate multiple systems simultaneously.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Identify fraudulent transactions, powering exceptional client results
- Collaborate with a team of industry experts to monitor real-time fraud decisioning software
- Independently resolve problems that require in-depth investigation and/or research
- Communicate fraud trends
Additional Requirements:
- Location: Fully On-site at the Accertify Headquarters in Itasca, IL
- Full-time, 40-hour week position
- Monday – Thursday 8 am-6 pm CST (4x10 work schedule)
- Internship program runs from June 2nd to August 1st (9 weeks)
- Interns are allowed three non-paid days off throughout the 9-week program; they must work with their hiring leader to coordinate these days.
- Interns will have two non-paid holidays during the program (Juneteenth and Independence Day).
- The expected hourly range for this position is $20 per hour
