
Staff Accountant
Local CPA firm is looking for an accountant to provide tax, bookkeeping, tax research, and office administration services in a collaborative work environment for clients in a multitude of industries.
The ideal candidate will be someone who is looking for a long-term career in public accounting. A self-starter who is able to work independently and someone who can manage and deliver projects on a timely basis. This position provides a number of career growth opportunities.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and fiduciary income tax returns
- Tax research on as needed basis
- Processing of payroll and related tax reporting
- Bookkeeping and accounting, from data entry to preparation of financial statements
- Preparation of Washington State Excise tax returns and Cities – B&O Tax Returns
- Preparation of information returns (Form 1099) and Personal Property Affidavits (PPA)
- General office administration related to the above tasks
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office - Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience with QuickBooks Desktop, QuickBooks Online, Axcess or other professional tax software is a plus
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and adapt to changes with exceptional attention to detail
- Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to read and analyze financial reports
