Development Coordinator

This role is about cultivating strong donor relationships, orchestrating innovative events, and executing creative strategies to boost donor retention and support our mission. As our Development Coordinator, you’ll lead our fundraising initiatives, working closely with leadership and team members to meet and exceed our financial goals. You will engage with donors, manage exciting fundraising campaigns, and work closely with the Event Manager to plan the annual events, all while promoting our organization’s vision and mission.

Donor Relations & Stewardship

  • Engage & Nurture: Build and maintain strong, lasting relationships with donors through timely communication and personalized recognition.
  • Prospecting: Identify and cultivate new donor opportunities to expand our support base.
  • Innovative Strategies: Implement fresh approaches to donor retention, including energizing monthly giving programs.

Fundraising & Campaigns

  • Strategic Planning: Assist in developing and executing dynamic fundraising plans to reach ambitious financial targets.
  • Campaign Management: Collaborate with the team in fundraising campaigns—from individual giving and corporate sponsorships
  • Performance Analysis: Track, report, and provide actionable insights on fundraising activities.

Brand Promotion

  • Ambassador Role: Represent our organization enthusiastically 
  • Content Development: Team up with marketing to create compelling donor-focused content and materials.
  • Partnership Building: Actively seek and develop strategic partnerships to broaden our reach and impact.

Education & Experience

  • Experience in fundraising, development, or a similar sales role preferred.

Skills & Competencies

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that capture attention.
  • High-energy, proactive, and goal-oriented with outstanding organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with donor management software.
  • Experience with social media and digital marketing strategies.
  • A team player with a positive, innovative attitude who isn’t afraid to embrace new challenges.
  • Self-motivated

Screening Requirements

  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • A solid understanding of trauma, coping mechanisms, and issues relevant to the youth we serve.
  • Must be 25 or older to meet vehicle insurance requirements.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record for the past three years.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment, random drug screenings, TB tests, and criminal, FBI, and DFPS background checks.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and practical organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Capacity to work both independently and collaboratively.
