Build-Your-Own Internship

We are always in need of extra help! Whether you are interested in gaining experience in
Nonprofit Management, Film/Videography, or PR/Event Planning (to name a few), we would be happy to have you join us for a volunteer internship!

The ideal candidate for the Beyond Boundaries BYO Internship is someone who is adaptable, personable, hard-working, driven, and positive, and who understands and values BB’s mission to make outdoor adventure accessible to everyone. Selected candidates will be expected to uphold BB values and be a representative of inclusion and accessibility in the community while also meeting the goals outlined by the internship.

• The ideal candidate for this position is an individual who understands and values the BB mission and wants to share their personal skillset to benefit the BB team and local Richmond community

Minimum Qualifications

• Great interpersonal & communication skills
• Passion for working with people of all abilities

What to Expect

• Internships can last anywhere from a few weeks to a few months, depending on the
  number of hours required by a student’s university program, or the availability of the
  selected candidate
• Interns will be required to provide their own transportation to and from the BB main office (if transportation is an issue, please let us know)
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with all staff, participants, and volunteers at all times
• Pursue academic or experiential activities to complement and enhance your role as a BB Intern
• Support the mission, vision, and values of Beyond Boundaries
• Perform additional duties, as assigned and agreed upon
