About Us:

Diversified Equity Partners is a leading real estate investment firm specializing in commercial multifamily properties. We're seeking a talented and enthusiastic Social Media Intern to join our team and gain valuable experience in the real estate industry.

Position Summary:

As a Junior Underwriter, you will play a vital role in our acquisition process by assisting with the underwriting of potential commercial multifamily properties. You will gain exposure to all aspects of the underwriting process, from initial deal screening to final financial analysis. You will also provide valuable administrative support to the team.

Responsibilities:

• Underwriting Support:
  • Assist in the financial analysis of potential multifamily acquisitions, including reviewing income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow projections.
  • Conduct market research to assess property values, rental rates, and competitive landscapes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to evaluate investment returns and risk.
  • Assist in the preparation of investment memorandums and presentations for potential investors.
  • Assist in the due diligence process, including reviewing property documents and conducting site visits.
• Administrative Support:
  • Organize and maintain property data and underwriting files.
  • Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations.
  • Provide general administrative support to the underwriting and acquisitions teams.
  • Assist with other tasks assigned.

Qualifications:

• Major in finance, real estate, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modeling.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.  
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.  
• A genuine interest in commercial real estate and multifamily syndications.
• Prior experience in real estate underwriting or finance is a plus.
