People Operations Intern

Job Summary 

The People Operations Intern will assist in supporting various HR initiatives and programs aimed at enhancing employee experience, organizational effectiveness, and company culture. This is a unique opportunity to gain practical experience in HR operations while contributing to meaningful projects that impact our entire workforce.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Support the maintenance and administration of HR systems and databases, ensuring accurate employee data management and confidentiality
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR toolkits, including onboarding resources, employee engagement initiatives, and performance management tools
  • Help create and maintain HR analytics dashboards to track key metrics related to workforce demographics, recruitment, and retention
  • Support the recruitment process through candidate coordination, interview scheduling, and maintenance of applicant tracking systems
  • Contribute to the development and updating of HR policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Assist in organizing and coordinating employee events and recognition programs
  • Participate in HR project teams and contribute to process improvement initiatives
  • Help maintain and organize HR documentation and employee resources
  • Support benefits administration and related employee communications
  • Assist in coordinating with Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) to support diversity and inclusion initiatives and enhance employee engagement
  • Support the development and maintenance of manager resources and training materials for the Management Hub

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, or related field
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally

Physical Conditions

  • Adjusting, moving, transporting, installing, positioning, or removing objects up to 10 pounds in all directions
  • Communicating with others to exchange information

Environmental Conditions

  • General office environment

Safety and PPE 

  • Reading and interpreting hazardous warning signs
  • Wearing proper PPE, to include face mask, face shields, gloves, safety shoes

Additional Requirements

  • Requires overtime occasionally 
  • Requires schedule flexibility occasionally
  • Requires extended hours to support launch and critical project timelines occasionally

The hourly range for this position is $26 for employees working onsite at our Alameda, CA headquarters. The range provided in this job posting represents the typical range or starting rate of candidates hired in California.
