Musket Credit Analyst Internship (Summer 2025)
BASIC PURPOSE: This internship is designed to fully immerse students in the day-to-day credit and financial support functions of a commodities trading company. Summer Interns will be tasked with real responsibilities related to analyzing financial statements and evaluating credit limits.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyzing customer financial statements.
- Understanding key ratios in financial statements.
- Evaluating customer credit limits.
- Term change requests from internal sources.
- Risk analysis and exposure management to minimize debt losses and optimize A/R turnover.
- Assists the Credit Manager with monthly reports and other projects as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent required
- Currently enrolled in four-year university program, a sophomore level or above (pursing a bachelor’s degree in economics, business administration, accounting/finance, or related field)

- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Experience:
- Previous internship experience in a similar role is a plus, but not necessary
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Skills:
- Hard Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), general computer knowledge, and basic finance and accounting knowledge
- Soft Skills: Keen attention to detail, strong oral and verbal communication skills, organization skills, critical thinker, and team player
- Typical Physical Demands:
- Requires prolonged sitting, some bending and stooping.
- Occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to operate a computer keyboard and calculator.
- Requires normal range of hearing and vision.
