
Institutional Giving and Government Relations Manager

Job Objective:
The Institutional Giving and Government Relations Manager is primarily responsible for developing and sustaining foundation, corporate, and government support. Working closely with the Director of Development, the Institutional Giving and Government Relations Manager researches, identifies, and pursues strategic funding opportunities to support the JBFC’s mission.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop letters of inquiry, proposals, reports, general correspondence, and acknowledgement letters for institutional funders and prospects.
- Research and identify new foundation, corporate, and government funding opportunities. Help develop strategy to secure new foundation, corporate, and government grants.
- Create fundraising pitch decks to support proposals and presentations.
- Maintain annual grants and reports calendar to maximize institutional revenue and ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with program officers, community leaders, elected officials, and their staff.
- Assist in budget planning for funding opportunities.
- Participate in inter-departmental discussions to plan, develop, and schedule proposals.
- Participate in foundation and government conferences/workshops to increase networking and funding opportunities.
- Explore capital funding opportunities and apply for foundation/government support.
- Work with Donor Engagement Manager to identify targeted donors with family foundations and create prospect profiles that will help develop cultivation strategies to move donors up the ladder of engagement.
- Provide support for the annual gala and other special events.
- Serve as a JBFC ambassador by attending programs, receptions, and events and engaging with donors.

Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree
- At least two years of experience in grant applications and administration.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications:
- Experience with Office 365 Suite, Adobe Suite, Canva, and Power Point required.
- Experience with Tessitura, Donor Search/iWave a plus.
