Facility Specialist – Part-Time

 

Rate: $12.00/hour – starting rate based on prior experience and education

 

Location: Lakefront Lodge, Willowick, OH 44095

 

Position Description:  

Under direction of the Outdoor Education Manager, the Facility Specialist acts as room host during rentals, carries out opening/closing procedures, completes room set-up and tear down and light housekeeping. This position will also show the facility to potential and current renters while providing outstanding customer service to park visitors.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Represents Lake Metroparks at rental events and programs.
  2. Assists in set-up tear down for rentals.
  3. Assists with trash removal and general housekeeping after rentals.
  4. Shows building to potential and current renters.
  5. Assists in cleaning facility grounds.
  6. Perform all other duties as assigned by supervisor.

 

Minimum Qualifications: 

  1. High school diploma or equivalent preferred. 
  2. Experience in customer service preferably with a rental facility. 

 

Position Requirements: 

  1. Excellent knowledge of customer service.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communications skills. 
  3. Must be comfortable speaking in public in front of small and large groups.
  4. Demonstrated enthusiasm for working with families and children of all ages.
  5. Ability to utilize cleaning supplies. 
  6. Ability to rearrange furniture including tables, chairs, etc.
  7. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  8. Ability to interact with others with tact and courtesy and maintain integrity and appropriate behavior in dealing with conflicts and challenges with the public, co-workers, and managers.
  9. Proficiency in computer software programs including Microsoft Office Suite.
  10. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  11. Variable work schedule, up to 12-18 hours per week.
  12. Required to work flexible hours, weekends, evenings and holidays.
  13. Must possess a valid drivers’ license and insurable on the Agency’s liability policy. Background check required.
