
Program Management Intern
Mission:
The PM Intern supports the PM and the associated programs in all areas necessary to complete related tasks and contributing to the overall success of programs. Job duties include attending program meetings, taking and completing tasks such as List of Open Points updates, Microsoft Project timing updates, Microsoft Excel document creation and updates, follow up on specific items or with specific people, collecting information and reporting to the team, PLC familiarity, supporting SU counterparts with Program information, and other tasks as-assigned in support of the PM and Program.
As the candidate grows into accepting and fulfilling these responsibilities, there is the potential to move into more detailed program management follow up activities, a higher degree of meeting participation and leadership, and more direct accountability for portions of programs and their outcomes.
The candidate must have strong communication and computer skills. Motivation to continuously learn and grow is highly desirable. An aptitude to recognize what a situation requires and the willingness to take appropriate actions will provide a strong foundation for success. The ability to fit into team chemistry will ensure growth in PM skills.
Responsibilities:
Attend meetings and form a good understanding of program dynamics.
Accept program-related tasks, execute them, and communicate status and completion to the PM and team.
Using LOPs, recognize open program topics that need follow up and push them to completion.
Read, understand, and update program timing documents.
Recognize risk areas and review them with PM
Execute and/or independently lead any related tasks as directed by the PM.
