Realife Church is a thriving church of over 2000 people located on the outskirts of the Indianapolis metro area with a mission of “Creating a Place People Love, So They Can Experience a Loving God.” Founded in 2007, Realife is still led by founding pastor, Adam Detamore and affiliated both with the Assemblies of God and the ARC Network. Moving into a newly remodeled former fitness center in March of 2022, the church saw rapid growth and was featured in Outlook magazine’s Fastest Growing Churches in 2023 and 2024.
Located in the fastest-growing county in Indiana with the vision and resources to continue to reach more people, Realife Church is primed and positioned for growth well into the future. As a response to our current growth and future vision, Realife is looking for a Video Specialist who, in addition to technical expertise, is built to run at the pace of a fast-growing church.
Summary of the Position:
The Video Production Specialist is responsible for creating all video content that supports Realife Church’s mission and messaging. From short weekly announcements to in-depth outreach stories, this role ensures high-quality, on-brand visuals are delivered on schedule. You will work closely with the Communications team to “Create a place people love, so they can experience a loving God.”
Key Responsibilities:
1. Video Content Creation & Editing
Produce weekly announcement reels, monthly missions highlights, and other short videos.
Capture and edit footage from events, ensuring consistent branding and style.
2. Team & Volunteer Management
Recruit, train, and schedule volunteer videographers for larger events or specialized shoots.
Provide technical support and guidelines for standardizing footage, audio quality, and equipment usage.
3. Platform Optimization
Adapt video content for app, social media, website, and YouTube—tailoring format (aspect ratio, duration) to maximize engagement.
Collaborate with the Content Manager to publish videos across channels promptly.
4. Equipment & Resource Coordination
Maintain cameras, lighting, audio gear, and editing software.
Oversee or liaise with external video contractors as required.
5. Content Innovation & Storytelling
Propose fresh video ideas (testimonials, behind-the-scenes, creative promos).
Stay current with video trends and emerging technology to keep the church’s content compelling.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media, Communications, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of video production/editing (church or nonprofit context a plus).
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut, or similar. Motion graphics skills helpful but not mandatory.
Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines with minimal supervision.
Strong visual storytelling instincts and an eye for composition.
Success Indicators
Timely delivery of weekly/monthly video announcements and event promos.
Positive engagement metrics (views, shares, feedback) on video platforms.
Effective utilization of volunteers, boosting event coverage quality.
