Production Intern

Green Room Theatre Company Coachella Valley (GRTCCV) is a nonprofit theatre company based in Coachella Valley. Since 2008, we’ve produced a variety of plays, focusing on bringing diverse stories and voices to our community. GRTCCV is the only touring theatre company in the Coachella Valley, taking professional theatre into neighborhoods around the valley. 

GRTCCV seeks a production intern for its 2025 - 2026 touring season.

The production intern will gain hands-on experience by supporting the production team in all phases of the production process, from pre-production through performance. Tasks will include assisting with rehearsals, coordinating schedules, managing production paperwork, helping with set-up and tear-down, and liaising between the different departments (lighting, sound, costumes, etc.).

Production Intern Duties:

• Assist with production paperwork, including contact sheets and emergency contact forms.
• Work with the stage manager and director to distribute rehearsal schedules.
• Help with the creation and distribution of rehearsal reports and production schedules.
• Support set-up and breakdown at rehearsals and performances, including taping out ground plans and ensuring rehearsal spaces are prepped.
• Help coordinate load-ins and strike for venues.
• Assist in rehearsals, including prop setup and costume tracking.
• Assist with tech rehearsals, ensuring cues are followed and the team has the necessary materials.
• Communicate with the director and technical teams to assist with production goals and logistics.
• Be available to help with any additional production tasks as needed.
