Student Assistant- Lara Gonzalez Lab

The Lara-Gonzalez lab at the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology is looking to recruit a part-time student to perform basic laboratory maintenance work. The Lara-Gonzalez lab studies the mechanisms of cell division and how cell cycle decisions are influenced by developmental cues, utilizing techniques such as microscopy, genetics and biochemistry. Tasks include, but are not limited to: preparation of NGM plates, preparation of buffers and solutions, maintenance of laboratory organization and assistance with the research performed in the laboratory. The ideal candidate is someone who can commit to a flexible schedule, majoring in a biology or chemistry-related area.
 

Basic knowledge of chemistry and cell biology.

Experience working in a laboratory and making solutions/buffers
