(Seasonal) Performing Arts Coordinator

 

Appel Farm Arts Camp is hiring for our Performing Arts Coordinator role!

Applicants MUST have experience with direct management and supervision of other adult staff.

Appel Farm offers staff a unique and rewarding summer job, living and working with young artists and arts educators from around the world. Performing Arts Coordinator job description:

The Performing Arts Coordinator reports to the Camp Directors. The Performing Arts Coordinator will train and supervise Teaching Specialists and Performing Arts area staff, providing support and guidance with curriculum, classroom management, conflict, concerns, and accommodations. The Arts Coordinators will address medium- to high-level concerns, facilitate communication with families and between program areas, and communicate on behalf of the camp directors when necessary. The Arts Coordinators will support Teaching Specialists and area staff during all class and workshop time, and will manage the program area workshops. They will also manage all purchasing and area budgets. 

The Performing Arts program area includes: theatre performance, technical theatre, dance, contemporary music, classical music, and sports & swim. 

Preferred Qualifications include: 21+ years old, 5+ years working with youth in a teaching role, 3-4 years of supervisory experience. Evidence of an anti-bias approach to youth care in previous work. Previous camp or Residence Life experience a plus.

Salary for a 10wk contract is $5100. Room & Board provided. Live-On required.
