Production / Installer

Maple Valley Signs is searching for someone to support the team by producing accurate, integral parts in accordance with approved architectural drawings and assembling them. Attention to detail and mechanical aptitude are required for this position. The operator will also engage in plotting, wide-format printing, laminating, assembly to maintain production flow. Housekeeping in a print shop is an ongoing battle, so it’s important to keep areas clean during and after use, and perform periodic machine and equipment maintenance to ensure all equipment is running well. 

Requirements CNC Router / Fabricator

High School Diploma or higher education 

3 years or greater sign production experience

Experience operating Routers, engravers, wide format printers, laminators, vinyl plotters

Strong independent worker

CNC experience preferred

Graphic design experience preferred but not required

Computer competencies: Microsoft & Gsuite | SignLab | Adobe Illustrator, Enroute | EngraveLab | Enroute |Vcarve
Valid Washington State Driver’s License

Excellent mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Ability to follow written / verbal instructions

Quality control all parts coming to you and leaving your station

Capable of effectively machining and finishing various materials – Aluminum, Acrylic, PVC, Wood

 

COMPETENCIES

Working knowledge of hardware, fastenings, anchors and glues

Maintain a clean and organized workspace

Programming operating and maintaining production equipment

Finishing, painting and assembly 

Quality Control

Proper use of hand tools and Personal Protective Equipment

Ensure tools are functioning properly

Monitor sheet and roll inventory and update as used

Basic fabrication of non-illuminated metal cabinets, frames and architectural elements
