Summer Intern

Emerald Bioventures is seeking highly motivated Summer Interns to gain hands-on experience at the intersection of biotechnology, venture development, and business strategy. This internship provides a unique opportunity to work closely with our leadership team, supporting key initiatives in startup incubation, investment analysis, and biotech commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct market research on emerging biotech trends, competitive landscapes, and investment opportunities.
• Assist in evaluating early-stage biotech startups, including due diligence on scientific, financial, and regulatory aspects.
• Support business development activities, including identifying potential partnerships and strategic collaborations.
• Assist in preparing investor presentations, pitch decks, and internal reports.
• Analyze funding opportunities, government grants, and venture capital trends in the life sciences sector.
• Attend and summarize industry conferences, webinars, and networking events.
• Work on special projects as needed, contributing to the overall growth and operations of Emerald Bioventures.

Who You Are

• A graduate or undergraduate student (rising junior/senior preferred) pursuing a degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Business, Finance, or a related field.
• Passionate about biotech innovation, venture capital, and entrepreneurship.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex scientific and business information.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and research tools.
• Prior experience in biotech, healthcare, startups, or finance is a plus but not required.
