Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Innkeeper and Furnished Rental Manager. You will manage our beautiful 10 room Victorian inn on Capitol Hill, using your vision and hospitality experience to make it a cherished destination for travelers. You will also help establish and manage a portfolio of furnished rental properties in the area, providing much needed housing for travelers and locals alike.

Your compensation will be a competitive hourly rate plus a generous profit sharing program which ties your success to that our our properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Inn Management (60% of time):
- Conduct a full overhaul of the inn's interior design, working with our maintenance team to create a warm, inviting, and functional space.
- Revamp marketing and pricing strategy to increase occupancy and revenue.
- Oversee daily operations of 10 rooms during peak summer occupancy.
- Utilize Guesty to manage communications on Airbnb, Booking.com, and VRBO.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving issues.
- Coordinate cleaning schedules and ensure rooms are guest-ready.
- Answer guest phone calls, offering assistance and information.
- Maintain the inn's efficiency and building condition.
- Assist with light furnishing and interior design improvements.
- Restock kitchen supplies and maintain common area orderliness.
Furnished Leasing Management (40% of time):
- Work with our colleagues in property management to establish a portfolio of furnished rental properties in the area.
- Furnish the properties to a high standard, working with our design team to create a warm, inviting, and functional space.
- Conduct virtual and in-person tours for prospective tenants.
- Respond promptly to inquiries and leads from potential tenants.
- Assist in furnishing and setting up units to meet guest needs.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of hospitality or customer service experience (hotel, restaurant, retail, etc.)
- College students seeking summer employment and professional experience are encouraged to apply!
- Interest in interior design, space planning, or visual merchandising preferred
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and guest satisfaction
- Friendly, professional demeanor with strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to a flexible schedule
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills; familiarity with Guesty, property management, or hospitality software is a plus (training provided)
- Eye for design and ability to create welcoming spaces
- Experience handling guest complaints and resolving conflicts professionally
