AI Analyst Intern

Role and Responsibilities

 

Samsung Electronics is a global leader in technology and innovation, with a wide range of products and services that are used by millions of people around the world. 

 

This role will be part of the Mobile Business Supply Chain Strategy Team, based in Plano, TX. Our Supply Chain Strategy Team collaborates with our business teams and customers to design and implement innovative technologies that enable Samsung and our business partners to continue to drive best in class results.

 

One of the strategic pillars for 2025 is AI/ML.  The candidate selected for the role will help design and build the AI/ML framework that our Supply Chain team will leverage. They will help identify model inputs, analyze model effectiveness, collaborate with our Headquarter Office, and build the final Executive Proposal.  We are looking for the right creative resource to help us develop our AI/ML solution!

 

Role and Responsibilities

Learn the business for understanding applicable inputs for the model

Identify data sources and gather data

Support data cleansing activities 

Apply statistical modeling for extracting valuable insights

Participate in team brainstorming sessions to identify model accuracy and performance improvement opportunities

Provide insights into the latest trends for AI / ML

Support meetings with leadership to review progress and recommendations

Summarize analysis and recommendations and present to leadership

 

 

Skills and Qualifications

 

Skills and Qualifications:

Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university program, pursuing a relevant undergraduate or graduate degree, and be in their final or penultimate year of study.

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in progress (preferably AI/ML, Supply Chain, or Business Analytics related)

Strong Mathematical Analysis skills

Knowledge of Supply Chain operations concepts

Large data set Data Analytics course work and/or experience

Familiar with AI/ML concepts, modeling, frameworks, cloud platforms and services (AWS, Google)

Highly skilled in Excel; also skilled with other Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving skills; ability to strategically analyze existing concepts/data/tools and recommend solutions with supporting assumptions that solve business challenges

Able to work in a highly dynamic, fast paced environment

Strong organization, problem solving and data analytical skills

Effective speaking and writing communication skills; ability to collaborate in a diverse team environment

Continuous learner, curious, fascinated by innovation; ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts

Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal more than 75 percent of work time.
