Human Resource Summer Intern

Job Title: HR Summer Intern

Location: The Moorings at Lewes, Springpoint

Position Type: Paid Internship (Summer)

Duration: 10 week period – June – August 

Job Description:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic HR Summer Intern to join our dynamic Human Resources team. This paid internship will provide valuable hands-on experience in HR operations and support our team in various administrative tasks, recruitment processes, employee onboarding, and special HR events.

As an HR Summer Intern, you will work closely with our HR professionals and assist in the daily operations of the department. Your primary responsibilities will include administrative support, assisting with new hire orientations, shadowing interviews, and contributing to our summer employee appreciation campaign. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support for HR tasks, such as maintaining employee files, data entry, and preparing HR documents.
  • Assist with creating and updating internal presentations for training, orientation, and other HR-related activities.
  • Help coordinate and execute the new hire orientation process, ensuring smooth onboarding for new employees.
  • Shadow and assist during interviews, helping the recruitment team in candidate screening and interview scheduling.
  • Support the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring all required documentation and training materials are completed.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of the summer employee appreciation campaign.
  • Perform other HR-related tasks and projects as assigned by the HR team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous internship or work experience in HR is a plus but not required.
