Dome Front Desk Attendant
Position Overview:
The Front Desk Worker is the first point of contact for visitors, clients, and staff at Oakland University Sports Dome. This role involves providing excellent customer service, managing guest arrivals, answering inquiries, and ensuring the smooth operation of front desk activities. The position requires a friendly and professional demeanor, strong communication skills, and a keen attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:
- Guest Reception: Greet and welcome all guests with a positive and helpful attitude, ensuring they have the best experience from the moment they arrive.
- Check-In/Check-Out: Manage guest check-ins and check-outs, process reservations, and handle any necessary paperwork.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Ensure the front desk area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
- Information Management: Provide accurate information about the facility, including services, amenities, hours of operation, and events.
- Customer Support: Address and resolve guest inquiries or issues efficiently, escalating to management if necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Prior experience in a customer service or front desk role (preferred).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in basic computer programs (e.g., MS Office, reservation software).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting of items up to 20 lbs.
