Communications Intern

Communications Intern 

As a Communication Intern, you'll immerse yourself in the dynamic environment of Envision Lead Grow and Summer Immersion. Your role will involve capturing daily activities and highlighting memorable moments through social media in order spread the good word about our programming and our Girl Bosses. In this position, you'll collaborate closely with the ELG Core Team, gaining valuable insights into marketing. This experience will sharpen your skills in communication, organization, and leadership, allowing you to grow both personally and professionally. 

Intern Job Responsibilities: 

Develop and Implement Social Media Strategy: You will assist in crafting and executing a social media plan to promote Envision Lead Grow and our summer immersion program. 

Create Engaging Content: You will generate compelling social media posts, including photos and videos, to showcase daily immersion activities. You will film and edit footage of camp activities, ensuring content highlights the Girl Boss experience. 

Send Daily Update Emails: Each evening, you will draft and send email updates to Girl Boss families, keeping them informed about their Girl Boss’s experience. 

Manage Pitch Recordings: You will ensure that each Girl Boss has submitted her pre-camp pitch and that each Girl Boss has a recorded pitch competition pitch at the end of the week. You will upload and organize these videos so they are ready for analysis.    

Monitor Social Media Performance: You will track engagement and analyze social media metrics to measure content effectiveness and inform future strategies. 

Intern Qualifications & Skills: 

Currently attending college 

Expert at Canva Strong written and verbal communication skills 

Proficient in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram) and familiarity with social media management tools 

Ability to organize workload on a daily basis to capture each Girl Boss while navigating schedule changes 

Enjoy working with middle and high school students and can work in a team environment
