Financial Data Entry Specialist
The Financial Data Entry Specialist contributes to a positive transformative guest experience by supporting the accurate entry of financial data into Kingwood Center Gardens’ financial software system, ensuring timely, precise, and efficient in all assigned tasks. The Specialist assists with the maintenance and updating of financial records, files, and transactions while supporting the organization's overall financial and human resource operations.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Assists entering financial data into Kingwood’s designated database, ensuring accurate, complete financial transactional records
· Adheres to established procedures and standards of Kingwood’s business operations
· Verifies and corrects data discrepancies or errors, ensuring data integrity
· Prepares and maintains financial spreadsheets and records as needed
· Adheres to data confidentiality and security policies to protect sensitive financial information
· Coordinate with other departments to resolve discrepancies to ensure smooth data flow as needed
· Identifies opportunities for process improvements in data entry and financial reporting procedures
· Assists with basic non-sensitive human resource tasks and projects
· All other duties as assigned
_ Requirements_
· Ability to accurately and efficiently enter data into computer software and systems
· Proficient with financial software applications and spreadsheets, Microsoft Office programs
· High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· Must be able to organize workflows to ensure necessary details are captured and enacted
· Ability to prioritize work amongst competing sets of tasks
· Flexibility and adaptability to changing work requirements and priorities
· Ability to properly handle sensitive confidential information
· Possess verbal and written communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and typing skills
· Prolonged periods of continuous standing, sitting, or walking along with occasional stooping, bending, reaching, crouching
· Ability to lift 20 pounds occasionally
· Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
· Ability to collaborate across departments and teams
· Ability to relate to, and work with people of all ages, diverse backgrounds, skills, and abilities
Qualifications
· Basic understanding of financial and accounting principles and terminology required
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Work experience in financial data entry is preferred
· Associate degree or higher in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
· Certification in data entry or related fields is preferred
· Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License
· Must pass a background check
· Must pass a drug test
