DEPARTMENT: School of Family and Consumer Sciences

JOB SUMMARY: The Strengthening Relationships/Strengthening Families program serves pregnant and parenting youth across multiple central Texas high schools. The SR/SF Data Management/Analytics student worker will support the program's in-person and virtual service delivery by documenting services provided by the program, entering data into multiple databases, scanning/shredding confidential information, auditing program records and other duties as assigned.


JOB DUTIES:

Data entry

  • Documenting services provided by the program (e.g., attendance, student support)
  • Entering data into multiple database

               -TEAMs

               -Apricot

              -nFORM

  • Creating and maintaining electronic program tools for record keeping (e.g., group session series)

Participant data management

  • Scanning/shredding confidential information.
  • Uploading hard copy packets – review, cross reference, scan assent/consent forms as needed and shred.

Gift Card management

Auditing & Reports

  • Creating auditing report for various program record keeping systems
  • Assist with reports to inform weekly, monthly and end of semester meetings.

Other duties as assigned

  • Assisting with the creation of:

               - Participant folders

               - Curriculum workbooks

  • Special Projects

              - Summer Academy

              - Summer groups

              - Internship training

WORK SCHEDULE: Students in this position are expected to work in-person between 15-20 hours per week. Additionally, applicants must be able to work in Monday-Friday 9am-5pm.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  1. Daytime availability
  2. Able to work 15-20 hours
  3. Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  4. Willing and able to communicate effectively with multiple team members during work hours via interoffice chat, email, or phone, facilitating timely completion of tasks
  5. Ability to be a team player
  6. Ability to be self-paced and self sufficient
  7. Ability to take direction
  8. Ability to manage time and stay organized
  9. Dependable
  10. Detail oriented
  11. Ability to secure reliable transportation to office 

 

Preferred:

  1. Experience creating spreadsheets, managing and analyzing data sets
  2. Minimal experience or understanding of basic statistics (e.g. means, frequencies)
  3. Ability to determine trends and patterns in excel, using math and problem solving skills
  4. Bilingual (English & Spanish)

 

EMPLOYEE EVALUATION PROCESS: Student employees are evaluated by their supervisor at the end of each long semester. 

 

PAYRATE DETERMINATION: All student employees begin at the starting pay rate and may increase based on performance and pending additional grant-funding.
