Construction Cost Estimator

Hello All,

I am currently seeking a construction project cost estimator for my major automotive OEM client.

Client: Automotive OEM

Title: Construction Cost Estimator

Location: Liberty, NC / Georgetown, KY

Position Type: Contract on W2

Duration: Long Term

Detailed Description of Responsibilities

• Detailed evaluation of contractor quotations for change orders (unit prices, take offs, etc)
• Update of budget tracking tools based on change orders and identify/report budget concerns
• Monthly Journal Corrections/Accruals by project budgets
• Monthly and YTD cost Reporting by project budgets
• Creation of monthly cost reports, should be able to do cost analysis.
• Review Invoicing and ensure timely payments
• Support cash flow management and report status
• Support purchase order requisitions

Required Qualifications

• Level of experience- 2-5 years as a cost and financial analyst
• The candidate must have cost analysis experience as well.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Adobe
• Strong organization and communication skills
• Strong working knowledge of AutoCAD (preferred) or BlueBeam (acceptable) -  Review AutoCAD drawings and specifications of design packages with project team, minimizing potential interferences with existing installation, and to optimize the project schedule.
• Experience in the construction field
• Experience in construction estimating & quote analysis
  • Ability to read drawings and complete material take-offs

Additional Desired Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent
• Working knowledge of RSMeans
• Scheduling Experience
