The State of Wisconsin, Department of Military Affairs (DMA), Construction and Facility Management Office (CFMO), is seeking an Engineering Intern for summer 2025. This paid internship experience will offer students practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience. The internship provides an opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths while assisting the CFMO’s mission efforts.

Position Summary:
As a Department of Military Affairs CFMO Intern, you will play an integral part of our team, while gaining real-world experience and a comprehensive understanding of various engineering project functions within a Wisconsin state government agency. The intern will conduct plan reviews, conduct project site visits, assist project managers, research submittal submissions, and perform a variety of project management procedures in the development and execution of new and existing military construction projects.
Salary Information:
Pay will be $21.66 per hour.
Job Details:
All applicants will be required to allow the DMA to conduct a background clearance check to gain access to the installation.
Will have a valid driver's license (from any state) for travel to various DMA locations throughout Wisconsin, utilizing a DMA vehicle.
Previous or current military experience is not a requirement.
All new employees are required to report to Joint Force Headquarters (JFHQ) in Madison on Monday of their first week of employment for the New Employee Orientation (NEO) program. Additional information will be sent to the new employees and their supervisors on the Tuesday prior to NEO.
Qualifications:
Candidates who meet the minimum qualifications will be:
Undergraduate students that have completed their freshman year and are pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
