UI/UX Developer Intern

About The Role

We are looking for a creative and motivated UI/UX Frontend Developer Intern to join our team at Swing Phi. In this role, you'll gain hands-on experience designing and developing intuitive, high-performing user interfaces for our fintech platform. You’ll collaborate with our team to enhance user engagement, optimize design systems, and elevate our products' user experience. We foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, where unique perspectives thrive. Interest in capital markets is a must. While this is an unpaid internship, there will be opportunities for transitioning into a long-term paid role based on performance.

You Will:

  • Design and implement intuitive, visually appealing user interfaces for web applications.
  • Improve the user experience by refining UI components and interactions.
  • Collaborate with developers and designers to create responsive, scalable designs.
  • Conduct usability testing and gather feedback to enhance design decisions.
  • Learn about and evaluate new front-end technologies to improve performance and user engagement.
  • Manage tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

You Have:

  • Completed at least two years towards a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), UI/UX Design, or a related field.
  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
  • Experience with Figma, Adobe XD, or similar design tools.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion for user-centric design.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take on new challenges.
  • Experience or strong interest in data visualization, fintech, or accessibility best practices is a plus.
