
Assistant Manager
Overview
We are looking for a motivated, results driven assistant manager to be responsible for our store's overall success. The ideal candidate will seek to enhance customer satisfaction, meet sales and profitability goals, and manage staff effectively.
This position requires strong leadership skills, a passion for customer service and experience, and the ability to effectively manage store operations while fostering a positive work environment. A background in customer service, hospitality, retail management, and fundamental business operations are optimal. This position has incredible opportunities for growth and increased responsibility.
Responsibilities & Qualifications
- Assist the Store Owner in overseeing daily store operations and ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Develop strategies to drive the business forward by analyzing data and trends.
- Motivate and inspire other employees to provide excellence in store presentation, customer experience, and operations execution. Foster a collaborative team atmosphere by promoting effective communication among staff members.
- Take ownership to create processes and an environment that ensures customer satisfaction, maximum productivity, and profitability.
- Maintain a clean and organized store environment that enhances the customer experience. This includes daily cleaning tasks.
- Address challenges and inspire a customer-centric culture.
- Identify opportunities to maintain continuous improvement in all areas of the business.
- Complete daily & weekly reports for Store Owner.
- Assist with digital marketing efforts - growth opportunity available with this task.
- Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering products, and manage stock replenishment.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations within the store.
Qualifications
- Highly motivated, independent, honest, and honorable. Able to follow and improve upon processes. Remain positive and upbeat, even when faced with adversity or challenging situations.
- Enjoy working hard and always see things through from start to finish. Willing to go above and beyond what is asked, looking for things that need to be done without being told.
- Have an inquisitive nature with a passion to learn and be able to shift gears quickly behind new strategies and projects. Able to adapt and think quickly when faced with new challenges.
- Proficiency in basic business finance KPIs to analyze sales performance effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets to accurately complete store reports
- Strong sales management capabilities with a focus on achieving store goals.
- Exceptional phone etiquette and communication skills for effective customer interaction and
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Education - High School Diploma with experience in the retail, service or hospitality industry. Some secondary education in a business related field is a strong plus.
Schedule & Benefits
- Standard hours for this role will begin as: Tuesday-Friday 3pm-7pm and Saturdays 11am-7pm (additional hours during the week, as available and needed). Opportunity to work Sundays 1-6pm, if desired.
