What will you need?
Baccalaureate degree in Human Services, Business Administration, Database Management, or Mathematics or experience in a Head Start program working with ERSEA administration. Prefer bilingual (English/Spanish).
Enrollment (ERSEA) Specialist responsibilities include:
- Assist in the recruitment of Early Head Start, Head Start, and NC Pre-K children throughout the year.
- Assist in the processing of enrollment, transfer, and termination of NC Pre-K, Early Head Start, and Head Start center children.
- Maintain databases (ChildPlus and NC PLAN) of assigned enrollees in Early Head Start, Head Start and NC Pre-K enrollees and staff and their qualifications.
- Manage waitlists for Early Head Start, Head Start, NC Pre-K, and those children in Child Care Partnerships (CCP).
- Review all submitted Early Head Start, Head Start and NC Pre-K enrollment applications for accuracy and correct eligibility determination.
- Actively engage in team collaboration meetings which can include team members, colleagues and/or professional learning communities, and also may include collaborative meetings to support individual children.
- Provide a leadership role in building a team atmosphere with the ERSEA Team and other program staff.
- Establish and maintain effective professional relationships with families to gain their trust and respect while maintaining well-defined relational boundaries with families.
- Enhance job growth through training and education, as required or necessary.
- Interact with outside agencies in a professional, friendly and hospitable manner.
Experience/Skills Preferred:
Knowledge and experience in data collection and information processes and systems along with general knowledge of policy and procedure compliance.
Strong critical thinking and computer skills, ability to set up and maintain a database system.
Two years of related work experience- Early Head Start/Head Start/NC Pre-K experience preferred.
