First Grade Teacher
Position Summary
Faith Lutheran School in Marietta, GA is seeking a first grade teacher in a self-contained classroom. Candidates must be strong in their Christian faith with a desire to share the faith with young children in the classroom. Class size averages 15 students with a maximum of 18.
Grade level: First grade
Availability: Immediately through the end of the 2024-2025 school year
Salary and Benefits: Based on the annual teacher salary for a 10-month school year, employees are paid on the 15th and the last day of each month, through July 31, 2025.
Teacher salaries begin at $43,000.00 with adjustments made for years of experience and/or educational degrees. Benefits include health, retirement and disability benefits through Concordia Health Plans. Benefits include 10 sick days and 3 personal days per school year.
Accountability:
As an employee at Faith, you will be accountable to the principal, who is responsible for supervision of all faculty and staff. Additionally, you will work as a team member with all other personnel of the church and school. You should approach your relationships at Faith Lutheran with loyalty and cooperation in furtherance of our common ministry for Jesus Christ.
Related Assignments:
You will be expected to be available for all job-related duties unless excused by the principal, except for vacation, holidays, and summer break as outlined in the school calendar. It is expected that you will serve on at least two committees and attend special events throughout the school year unless excused by the principal.
It is expected that you will devote the time required to fulfill your responsibilities and that you will give your best effort to this position. The approval of the principal must be attained prior to any deviation from work-time requirements.
You will observe all other assignments and duties as described in the personnel manual, which is revised occasionally at the sole and absolute discretion of the employer. It is your responsibility to acquaint yourself with the policy and procedural changes so that you remain in compliance with them.

In your role as a teacher, it is important that you approach your position with Christian discipline and care for others, all according to Biblical standards. You are expected to continue to associate closely with God through prayer, study of the Bible, and regular church attendance.
