Cobb School Montessori is a vibrant, nurturing community committed to fostering independence and a love of learning in children through authentic Montessori practices. We have been serving children and families in the Farmington Valey area of CT since 1974. Our Montessori approach is rooted in the principles of respect, individualized learning, and hands-on experiences. 

We seek passionate, dedicated candidates to join our school as Assistants and Substitutes.

Qualifications: Demonstrate ability to work with children, responsible and able to take direction and to follow through, willingness to learn and be trained in Montessori philosophy.  Background in childcare or child development preferred.

Responsibilities: Assist teacher during class time by preparing the classroom and materials, redirecting children to work and aiding children who need help;  maintain order and cleanliness of environment daily; supervise children on the playground; work with teacher to learn about philosophy of Montessori to further understand the goals of the class and the school and more.

Job Type: Full-time for Assistants and 

Pay: $20.00 per hour

Schedule: Monday to Friday (School year)

Work Location: In person, Simsbury CT
