Smithfield, VA (with travel to all restaurant locations)

As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a talented Marketing Coordinator to lead and execute strategies that drive sales, awareness, engagement, and loyalty.

 

Position Overview:

The Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for executing the overall marketing strategy for the hospitality group and will be a direct report to the owners. This role will involve developing and implementing integrated marketing campaigns, digital marketing strategies, brand positioning, and guest engagement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in marketing, a passion for the hospitality industry, and the ability to lead a team while driving measurable results. An understanding of marina life is preferred. This is a full time position. Employment in another marketing position simultaneously will disqualify an applicant from consideration.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Marketing Strategy & Execution:

Work with existing teams to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies for the hospitality group across all locations. Ensure consistency in brand messaging and voice across all platforms.

 

  • Digital Marketing:

Manage and optimize digital marketing efforts including social media, email marketing, SEO, paid advertising, and website content. Continuously monitor and adjust campaigns to ensure maximum effectiveness and ROI. Be on the cutting edge of emerging technologies that better our social presence

 

  • Brand Management:

Oversee brand positioning and ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints including print, digital, and in-store materials. Elevate the brand’s presence and recognition in the local and regional markets.

 

  • Community Engagement:

Develop and nurture partnerships with local influencers, food bloggers, and community organizations. Plan and execute promotional events, sponsorships, and collaborations that drive foot traffic and foster community engagement.

 

  • Market Research & Analysis:

Conduct regular market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences. Use data-driven insights to inform and adjust marketing strategies and campaigns.

 

  • Collaboration:

Collaborate with other departments, including operations and culinary, to ensure cohesive marketing efforts that align with business goals.

 

  • Budget Management:

Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and maximizing return on investment.

 

  • Performance Reporting:

Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) for all marketing initiatives. Provide regular updates to senior leadership on campaign results, growth, and areas for improvement.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 3+ years of marketing experience, ideally in the restaurant or hospitality industry.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Strong knowledge of social media platforms, digital advertising, and analytics tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft compelling messages and build strong relationships.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for design, brand development, and customer experience.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and growing environment.
