FACILITIES SUMMER INTERN

SUMMER INTERNSHIP

During the internship, college students will:

● Work on an individual project with your direct team

● Work with other interns on a group project

● Interact with leadership in the company, including VPs

● Network across functions and teams

● Participate in social and team building activities

● Graduation Dates:  December 2025 - May 2027

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

The facilities intern provides guidance, instruction, and direction to facilities technicians. Utilizes specialized skills based upon education, professional licenses, or certifications to ensure proper operation/maintenance of site wide facilities. Responsible for task assignments and ensuring proper tools and equipment are utilized to complete assignments. Advises facilities supervisor/manager of any issues pertaining to operation of infrastructure. Responds to facilities issues in a professional and timely manner, assists with all aspects of facility maintenance.

 

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supports and executes facility specific maintenance strategies to achieve Plant's key performance goals for overall maintenance performance.
  • Provides technical and problem-solving support for the plant and facilities crews.
  • Assist management in scheduling facility projects
  • Evaluate, maintain and modify facility related maintenance issues to resolve potential interruption of service
  • Perform preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance
  • Maintain the company’s inventory of general hardware, supplies, tools, and parts for facilities equipment
  • Manage the ordering process of supplies of parts for routine maintenance and special repairs on facilities equipment
