Assistant Practice Administrator
Job Summary:
The Assistant Practice Administrator supports the Practice Administrator in managing the clinic's daily operations, staff, and patient needs. This role involves overseeing patient flow, assisting with staff management, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring compliance with regulations. The Assistant Practice Administrator also serves as a liaison between physicians, staff, and patients, promoting a positive and efficient clinic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure smooth clinic operations, patient flow, and quality service.
- Supervise front office/receptionist functions, scheduling, and billing.
- Support physician schedules, including travel, meetings, and certifications.
- Handle patient complaints, incidents, and insurance-related issues.
- Lead, coach, and manage clinic staff, ensuring staff competency and professionalism.
- Conduct employee training, evaluations, and support HR processes.
- Manage inventory, equipment, and supplies, ensuring proper documentation.
- Oversee billing, compliance, and OSHA training.
- Assist with budgeting, financial reporting, and collections.
- Perform additional duties as needed to ensure clinic success.
Qualifications:
- College degree preferred; high school diploma required.
- Management experience and knowledge of healthcare regulations (OSHA, Medicare/Medicaid) preferred.
- Strong communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
- Professional and friendly demeanor; ability to work with diverse teams.
- Computer knowledge preferred; basic cardiac/business knowledge a plus.
