Electrical Engineer

Job description

Seeking a motivated Electrical Engineer contractor to join the team with a leading utilities company based in New Orleans, LA to support their evolving transmission grid. Develop & maintain transmission line impedance data based on transmission line construction documentation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree required. Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Understanding of transmission line impedance calculations including zero sequence mutual impedance.
• Strong time management skills with the ability to independently plan and organize work assignments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical writing.
• Equally effective with working independently or in a team environment.
• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems.
• Experience with short circuit modeling software is a plus.
• Ability to interpret codes, regulations and practices.
