Production Supervisor

Title: Production Supervisor                                                                        Reports to: Production Manager

Position Hours: Full Time, First Shift                                                         FLSA: Non-Exempt

 

Position Summary: To supervise and ensure the safe completion of daily work of all members on your team and on your farm. This position will be a leadership position within the production department.

Position Responsibilities:

·        This position primarily works on the farm around livestock.

·       Setting goals for performance and deadlines in ways that comply with company’s plans and vision and communicate them to subordinates

·       Ensure the work environment is safe, secure and healthy

·        Organize workflow and ensure that employees understand their duties or delegated tasks. This includes meeting deadlines.

·        Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching. Ensure employees are meeting performance expectations.

·        Receive complaints and resolve problems (Ensure great customer service)

·        Maintain timekeeping and personnel records

·        Pass on information from upper management to employees and vice versa

·        Prepare and submit performance reports

·        Decide on reward and promotion based on performance

·        Train new and existing employees

·        Ensure adherence to audit, legal and company policies and procedures and undertake disciplinary actions if the need arises

·        Excellent communication skills and passion for excellence

·        Follow biosecurity practices on all company sites

 

Qualifications:

·        Capable of working occasional Saturdays and maintaining a flexible schedule

·        Ability to remain standing and/or walking while sampling chicken houses

·        No contact with birds or swine

·        Leadership courses complete in LMS

·        No attendance or conduct issues if promoting from within

Physical Demands:

·        Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations

·        Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors

·        Ability to stoop, bend, climb, and lift at least 25 lbs. continuously throughout the day
