Occupational Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in providing therapeutic care to patients across various settings, including geriatrics, pediatrics, outpatient clinics, and home health. This role involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic interventions to enhance patients' functional abilities and overall quality of life.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and patient goals.
- Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' daily living skills and independence.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions for patients from inpatient to outpatient settings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in occupational therapy, including techniques for working with individuals with autism.
Qualifications
- A degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- Experience in geriatrics, pediatrics, outpatient clinics, home health, or inpatient settings is preferred.
- Knowledge of case management principles and discharge planning processes is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
