Division of Student Affairs Student Videographer
The IU Indianapolis Division of Student Affairs seeks a qualified student candidate for the role of videographer. The position is up to 20 hours per week beginning as soon as possible through May 2026; the student in this role is expected to commit to this position for the academic year. Pay is $13 per hour. The qualified candidate should have a strong background in filming, editing, and video production.
Responsibilities
- Concept videos: Meet with clients about video requests and story board concepts.
- Collaborate on scripts: Work in tandem with the Marketing and Communications team on the script and how this will fit with the vision of the video.
- Communicate with clients: Coordinate filming dates with the client, follow up on deadlines, and implement client feedback.
- Prep and lead during filming dates: Have all equipment ready prior to the shoot, scout locations as needed, have a shot list finalized, and direct during the shoot.
- Produce video drafts and revise based on client feedback.
- Project manage multiple videos at a time and ensure deadlines are met.
Position details
The videographer will have access to camera equipment and a desktop computer to film and produce video projects. This position is on-site and will work out of the Multimedia Production Center, which is inside the Campus Center. The videographer will meet with the Assistant Director weekly to talk through project updates.
