Sports Internship
In The Net Sports Complex, a 35 acre sports and recreation business offering indoor and outdoor sporting venues with artificial turf and natural grass playing surfaces is a destination site for youth sports teams from the Northeast, Mid Atlantic and across the United States. In The Net is located in Palmyra, Pennsylvania just east Hershey.
A 10-12 week paid internship
- Mid May – Early August
- Weekday, weekend, day and evening shifts required
- Holidays off – Memorial Day
Responsibilities
- Assist with set up and breakdown of all events
- Serve as a tournament official, maintaining a working knowledge of rules and procedures
- Perform basic grounds crew duties such as field work and clean up
- Work directly with front office personnel in order to successfully execute all events
- Serve as a customer service representative to the coaches. Answer questions as they pertain to their tournament
- Complete administrative responsibilities for camps, clinics and showcases
- Teach fundamentals of baseball and other related field sports
- Assist with on-field activities during camps, clinics, and competitions
- Mentor younger athletes
Requirements
- Ability to work cohesively in a team environment, and multi-task
- Ability to follow instructions/directions
- Willingness to work in an outdoor environment, sometimes for long hours
- Work on your feet for long periods of time, and lift heavy materials
- Provide your own transportation, and housing
- Enjoy working with young athletes
