Peer Mentors in the Professional Readiness Program are responsible

for guiding Business 1000 and 2000 students through the PRP. Peer

Mentors provide a student perspective on all activities involved with

the PRP program including various tasks such as:

*Labs - Having a presence in the labs to ensure that a student

perspective is being shared for professionalism topics when

appropriate. Assist with attendance, collection of evaluations, support

trainer, provide guidance to students enrolled, etc.

*Office hours - Holding office hours to be available for students both

for advice and to hold makeup sessions

*Grading - Using a rubric to grade and provide feedback to students on

assignments

*Promoting PRP topics - Serving as an advocate for the Professional

Readiness Program and each level

*StrengthsQuest Guidance - Using the StrengthsQuest assessment to

guide students through professional development and utilizing their

talents in everyday life

*Connect with Students - Become a mentor to students professionally,

inside and outside of weekly sessions

*Providing a student perspective - Work with the program director to

further develop and improve the Professional Readiness Program

*Qualified applicants should have taken both Business 1000 and 2000

(or be currently enrolled in 2000) and show leadership, responsibility,

and the ability to take initiative.

Qualified applicants are business majors who have successfully completed Business 1000 and 2000 (by the end of Spring 2022) and will be returning for at least the fall 2022 semester.
