
High School Social Studies Teacher
Anticipated Position: High School Social Studies Teacher
Reports to: High School Principal
Qualifications:
- Valid State Department of Education licensure/certificate
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
- Prepare engaging, standards-aligned instructional materials.
- Develop and implement lesson plans that meet state standards and district curriculum goals.
- Teach scheduled classes with creativity and a student-centered approach.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.
- Evaluate students’ academic needs and learning styles to identify opportunities for enhanced learning.
- Use formal and informal assessment strategies to monitor progress and provide meaningful, actionable feedback.
- Employ a data-driven approach to adjust and refine lesson plans based on assessment results.
- Facilitate activities that promote teamwork, collaboration, and positive peer relationships.
- Establish a classroom culture that encourages curiosity, engagement, and mutual respect.
- Participate in extracurricular activities to support the school community.
- Embody high ethical standards, integrity, and confidentiality in all professional conduct.
- Maintain a clear record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment.
- Demonstrate a passion and desire to teach and inspire the students of Archbold Schools.
- Accepts personal responsibility for decisions and actions.
Starting Date: August 2025
Pay Scale: Per Salary Schedule, Based on Experience and Degree. (0 experience with Bachelor’s degree = $39,568)
