Marketing Data Analytics Intern

Kamps specializes in supplying high-quality wood pallets, comprehensive pallet recycling services, and total pallet management services to diverse supply chains across the nation - and select national customers in Canada and Mexico. Due to its vast national presence and breadth of capabilities, Kamps is considered the largest manufacturer and service provider for new and recycled pallets. Kamps has over 400 locations in its national network, which includes over 50 asset-based manufacturing and recycling facilities and multiple company-owned sawmills.

Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Marketing Data Analyst Intern to join our team this summer.  This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic business environment and contribute directly to our sales and marketing efforts. You will play a key role in analyzing market trends, forecasting demand, evaluating lead success rates, and supporting the development of strategic marketing plans.  This is an excellent opportunity for students interested in data analysis, marketing, and the manufacturing/logistics industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in developing and refining sales forecasts based on historical data, market trends, and seasonality.
  • Analyze lead generation and conversion data to identify areas for improvement in the sales process.
  • Conduct research on market trends within the wooden pallet industry and industries Kamps supports, including competitor analysis, pricing fluctuations, and emerging technologies.
  • Create clear and concise reports and visualizations to communicate findings to the sales and marketing teams.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing strategies based on data insights.
  • Assist in cleaning and organizing sales and marketing data to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist in building dashboards utilizing Business Intelligence (BI) software.
  • Support other sales and marketing initiatives as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (essential).
  • Experience with data analysis or visualization tools (e.g., Google Sheets, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Interest in the manufacturing or logistics industry is preferred.
  • Basic understanding of marketing principles.
