Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and knowledgeable tutor to assist undergraduate students enrolled in ISAN 1323 and (ISAN 3380 OR ISAN 3317). The ideal candidate will have successfully completed both courses and demonstrated advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint. This position requires someone who is patient, approachable, and dedicated to helping students succeed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and group tutoring sessions for students in ISAN 1323 and (ISAN 3380 OR ISAN 3317).
  • Assist students with assignments, projects, and study strategies related to course material.
  • Offer guidance in advanced Microsoft Excel functions (e.g., Pivot Charts, Pivot Tables, Decision Support Tools, and Excel Formulas/Functions), as well as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Help students develop practical skills and gain confidence in using Microsoft Office tools.
  • Foster a friendly, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
  • Communicate regularly with faculty to stay aligned with course objectives and updates.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of ISAN 1323 and (ISAN 3380 OR ISAN 3317)
  • Classified as a Junior or Senior
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, and Excel, particularly in advanced Excel functions such as Pivot Charts, Pivot Tables, and Excel formulas.
  • Excellent communication skills and a sincere passion for helping others learn.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a caring, sincere, and helpful demeanor.
  • Ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and simple manner.
  • GPA: 3.0

Employee evaluation process: The evaluation process involves setting clear goals at the start, providing regular feedback, conducting a mid-term check-in, and a final performance review at the end of each semester. The review is documented and shared with the student, with follow-up discussions if the student is returning for another term
