Student Maintenance Assistant
The College of Law is seeking a student worker to assist with building needs. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Assist with setting up and taking down events
- Handle building tasks such as changing clock batteries, hanging pictures and setting up tables
- Perform light cleaning and maintenance
- Assist with Law programs including orientation and graduation
- File and print documents, work with Avery Labels
- Respond to a variety of inquiries
- Regular and consistent attendance
- Must be available to work at least 8 hours per week with a maximum of 20 hours per week between 8:00am and 5:00pm Monday-Friday
- Hours are flexible, with summer and winter breaks optional but preferred. Occasional weekend work is available.
In this position, you will work alongside administration learning about higher education and how the law school functions. Immediate start available.
Qualifications
· Excellent attention to detail.
· Excellent communication (verbal and written) and be positive and respectful in working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives.
· Proficient using computers and related software, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
· Excellent organizational skills in handling multiple assignments, conflicting demands or priorities.
· Ability to work independently.
· Ability to lift 50 lbs.
· Must have a valid Driver’s License.
· Must have proficiency with small hand tools and some facilities equipment (drill, hammer, vacuum, fabric cleaner).
