Credit and Data Analyst (Entry Level)

Position Overview:

Support the department in fiduciary cash management activities. Reconcile assigned ledger accounts to ensure accuracy. Analyze data and oversee projects related to data governance. 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Assist with revenue management and data analysis
  • Participate in projects related to data governance
  • Ledger management and follow up support
  • Assist in the creation and design of KPI reports to monitor service standards
  • Post and allocate client/reinsurer cash receipts and payments
  • Confer with Finance with regards to cash coding and receipts; assist with reconciliations
  • Enter/Authorize new Bank Instructions from reinsurance partners
  • Trouble-shoot Wire/Payment issues with Banks
  • Prepare and render client/reinsurer statements for collection/settlement of account due
  • Create payment requests in conjunction with the balance agreed upon by client/reinsurer
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure claims/premiums are rendered on the statements correctly
  • Communicate with reinsurers and London bureau account handlers to ensure timely settlement of funds
  • Maintain records according to departmental standards

Required Education, Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four year college or university or equivalent preferably in Accounting, Finance, Business Intelligence, Analytics or other similarly quantitative or analytically oriented major
  • Intermediate experience with Excel and Power BI capabilities is preferred
  • Ability to see big picture with excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize and work to deadlines; adept at multi-tasking with strong organizational skills
  • Highly collaborative personality with ability to maintain positive client relationships; flexible to meet the needs and demands of a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with internal and external clients and vendors through both verbal and written means with excellent listening ability. Relates well to people at all levels
  • Ability to make good decisions using independent judgment
  • Ability to learn quickly and effectively incorporate new concepts and practices; flexible and open to change
  • Microsoft Word and Outlook experience 
  • Willingness to attend classes, trainings and conferences to learn new skills

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide marker range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary advanced to the desired candidate will be based on a number of factors, including geographic location and the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the desired candidate.
